北京野生动物园是经国家林业局批准、北京市政府立项、北京农业集团有限公司控股、北京绿野晴川动物园有限公司投资建设的集动物保护、救助、野生动物驯养繁殖及科普教育为一体的大型自然生态公园。园区占地3600亩，投资总额一亿五千万元人民币，汇集了世界各地珍稀野生动物200多种10，000余头（只）。园区位于北京市大兴区榆垡镇万亩森林之中，紧邻京开路，距玉泉营39公里交通十分便利，驱车沿京开高速公路至此只需30分钟。

    我园以“保护动物，保护森林”为宗旨，突出了“动物与人、动物与森林”的回归自然主题，着力渲染“人、动物、森林”的氛围，拉近人与动物的距离，增加人与动物的接触，以现代的无屏障全方位立体观赏取代了传统笼舍观赏方式。园区突出一个“野”字，体现一个“爱”字，建筑精美别致，绿树环抱，草木扶疏，景色幽雅令人心旷神怡。

    我园设散放观赏区、步行观赏区、动物表演娱乐区、科普教育区、儿童动物园和游乐园等，建有主题动物场、馆30多个。在动物散放区内成群的狼和野猪、鹿和鸸鹋，经过专家们的精心饲养，在宽阔的场所内呈现出一片和睦相处的自然景象。在步行观赏区，您可以跟鹿、狍、袋鼠等多种温顺动物戏耍，置身于“森林——动物”环境之中，达到与自然的最佳融合。在主题动物场馆内，您可以观赏到世界上最大人工繁殖的国家一类保护动物——棕尾虹雉、白尾稍虹雉、绿尾虹雉等珍稀动物种群，同时还可以观赏到极为珍贵的也是世界最大的川金丝猴人工种群。我园被北京市科学技术普及工作办公室正式命名为“北京市科普教育基地”，园中还专门开设了面向中、小学生的拯救濒危动物科普教育活动。动物表演娱乐区为游人提供各种精彩的动物表演，使您得到更多满足。

                       The Brief of Beijing Wildlife Park

   39 kilometers south to the Yuquanying Overpass on the Third Ring Road of downtown area, the Beijing Wildlife Park lies in Yufa Township,Daxing District,The Beijing Agriculture Group Co.,Ltd.is the overwbelming shareholder of the Company and covers 240 hectares of forest by the left side of the Beijing-Kaifeng Freeway.

   The safari compiles more than 10,000 heads of precious animals and birds covering over 200 species,including some very rare ones such as golden monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellanae),green-tailed monal (Lophophorus lhuysii)and brown-tailed monal (Lophophorus impejanus)which are the largest bred species population all over the world,and bustard (Otis tarda) as well.

   The scheduled vehicles are going to carry you touring in the carefully designed loop route through the roaming herbivores and carnivores.

   About a hundred of African herbivores such as giraffe, zebra and antelope graze and roam freely gogether with Asian deer, David’s deer and Australian emu on the vast lush ground in the midst of the forest.

   Different species of wading birds and waterfowl such as flamingos, cranes, mallard geese and swans sport together on the lake, and many other wild birds are attracted here to stay.

   Double deck glass covered corridors lead you through the park of puma and tigers, which allows the tourists to admire those characters in other parallel or down sight without disturbing them,and eliminates the unpleasant separation of meshwork and fence between the tourists and wild creatures.

   What makes the Safari experience completely different from any other zoo is, for the first time, you’ll see the animals and birds engaging in their active life, prowling, hunting’ grazing’ pecking’ and playing.
