The majestic lion is not only the ruler of the African grasslandsbut also a key species
in maintaining ecological balance.
Sadly, due to habitat loss and other threats,
lion populations have declined by nearly half in the past 25 years.
To raise public awareness of lion conservation,
August 10 is designated as World Lion Day.

On this occasion,Beijing Wildlife Park is proud to host“Hand in Hand,
Protect the King of the Grassland”.

sharing lion behavior, conservation status,and wild protection stories,
taking you into the world of lions!

3. 10:05–10:15Educational session: keeper shares lion facts, pregnancy, growth stories, daily fun facts and the little lions’ “friend circle”
4. 10:15–10:20Knowledge quiz: children raise hands to answer; correct answers win small gifts
5. 10:20–10:25Creative session: drawing little lions
6. 10:25–10:35Interactive game: charades challenge
7. 10:35–10:40Certificate presentation and exploration mission
On the event day, before 15:00, go to the Creative Market west of Capybara Swamp with your certificate.Parents post > 3 photos/videos of the activity and the market on Xiaohongshu with the hashtag #Passionate Summer, Happy Hokkaido# to redeem 1 sandbag-toss game (4 sandbags) for prizes and get an official park stamp on the certificate.
Activity Rules
1. Open to children aged 6–10.Limited to 20 parent-child groups (1 adult + 1 child).
2. The activity is free of charge.Park entrance tickets are at your own expense.
3. Participating families agree to join promotional filming during the eventand authorize the use of their likeness for future park promotion.
