Animal Care

We are always science-based, providing all animals in the park with professional feeding management, medical care and population management to fully safeguard their health and welfare.Meanwhile, our professional experience also supports animal care work in other domestic zoos, helping to raise the overall level of animal welfare.

We have brought together a professional team including veterinarians, animal care supervisors, researchers and frontline animal keepers. The team actively works across several core areas: For the sustainable development of populations, we ensure the healthy continuation of endangered species through scientific pairing and genetic testing. For wildlife health and the prevention and control of emerging diseases, we have established a sound health monitoring system to provide early warning and response to potential health risks. In animal nutrition, we develop precise dietary plans based on the physiological needs and living habits of different species. In animal behavior and cognition research, we conduct in-depth observations of behavioral patterns to provide a basis for optimizing enrichment activities. In exhibit design, we pursue innovation to allow animals to express their natural behaviors in a more naturalistic environment. Every effort is made to help animals live healthily and comfortably in the zoo, while accumulating practical experience for the cause of animal conservation.
